Calendar Divisions

Modified on Tue, 15 Oct, 2024 at 11:45 AM

Division filters are a useful tool to add an extra layer of filtering to your whole school calendar.

The division titles used should reflect a fixed structure in the school linked to year groups/separate schools and cannot be changed.

This form of filtering works well for multiple schools using one central calendar and schools with clear groupings of year groups i.e. lower, middle and upper. Please see some examples below of how the divisions are designed to be used on the SOCS Calendar:

SOCS Calendar with school/year group specific divisions:

Dulwich College Calendar

Berkhamsted Calendar

Millhill Calendar

Wycliffe College Calendar

St Peter's York Calendar

In order to set up calendar divisions, please provide us with the Division/School Names, with Year Groups and Gender (if applicable) allocations.

e.g.

  • Prep Girls
    1. Y3 to Y7
    2. Female
  • Senior School
    1. Y8 – Y11
    2. Male & Female
  • Sixth Form
    1. Y12-Y13
    2. Male & Female

Upon receiving this information, we will setup the new calendar divisions based on the above.

Please note, if SOCS Calendar divisions are being added at a later date and the SOCS Calendar is already in use then there will be an “events clean up” required following this update. You will need to:

  • Re-allocate the Events that were assigned to the Categories that have now become Divisions (e.g. Year 7) to another Category before deleting these Categories.
  • Assign a Division to all remaining Events otherwise they will not be visible on the calendar.
  • If you also have the SOCS co-curricular module, you will need to login to SOCS co-curricular, go to the SOCS Master Activity List, select each Activity and assign a Division/School to it.
