SOCS Music - Instrument List

This help article explains how to add instruments to SOCS Music.

Adding Instruments

To add instruments to the Instrument List, follow these steps:

Login to SOCS Music

Step 2

Select Settings

Step 3

Select Instrument List

Step 4

Select + Add Instrument

Step 5

Enter the name of the instrument you wish to add

Once an instrument is added it can be switched on or off.  Instruments that are switched on will be available to select when adding music lessons and pupils.

Instrument Inventory (optional):

For each instrument added, you can also add an inventory. The inventory is the list of actual items that are available to be loaned out to pupils for that instrument. 

For example, your instrument list will have “Violin” listed once, but you may have 10 violins in the inventory which can be loaned to pupils. Each item in an inventory is given a name to identify it and can be loaned to a pupil with an associated start date and end date as well as a cost. This cost will then appear on any billing reports for the pupil.
