Adding Instruments to Specific Pupils

A pupil can have one or more instruments added to them, their current grade in that instrument and some notes. 

To add instruments to a pupil, follow these steps:

Step 1

Login to SOCS Music

Step 2

Select Pupil in the left-hand menu

Step 3

Select the Instruments button alongside a pupil to access the available Instruments List 

Step 4

Select +Add Instrument 

Step 5

Select the relevant instrument from the drop-down list and complete any other details (grade, start date etc). 

The instrument start and end dates can be used to check and ensure that no lessons are scheduled outside of those dates for the pupil.

Step 6

Select Save

What happens if I don't add an instrument to a pupil?

If you do not add instruments to a pupil, lessons can still be added to them and the lesson scheduler will automatically add their instruments to their list based on the lessons added. 

The further details like start date, end date, grade and notes for that instrument can then be added later via the “Pupil” list.
