Configuring Impacts Between Rooms

SOCS Facilities allows you to use Impacts to define how bookings affect other rooms.

Impacts can either:

• Block another room from being booked
• Warn users that another room is in use

Here are some examples of why setting up Impacts across your facilities may be useful:

• Booking the sports hall might block the gym and basketball court.
• Booking the badminton court might only display a warning to someone booking the sports hall.
• Booking the main hall for a production might also block the adjacent bar area/communal space.

To add impacts, follow these steps:

Step 1:

Login to SOCS Facilities

Step 2:

Select Setting in the left-hand menu

Step 3:

Select the Impacts button

Step 4:

Select the +Edit Shared Locations button

Step 5:

Select Block / Warning / None using the drop-down menu alongside the relevant locations. 

The default option for Impacts is set to None.
