Action needed if you use iSAMS: add your new Batch API credentials

As promised, you can now add your new iSAMS Batch API credentials in SOCS Administrator. Here's what to do.
 

Please note: only users with access to Pupil Sync will be able to complete this step.

How to add your details

• Log in to SOCS Administrator
• Click iSAMS Batch API OAuth Client Credentials
• Enter your iSAMS Batch API Client ID and Client Secret 
• Click Save

Important: please replicate your current settings, filters and batch API methods in the new credentials to avoid any loss of data.

What happens next

Once you've saved your details, we'll check them and switch your sync over to the new authentication. Please do not switch off your current sync until we've confirmed the switch is complete.

Why this matters

iSAMS is retiring API key-only access from 2 November in favour of OAuth2.0 authentication. To keep your sync running without interruption, we'll need your new credentials before then.

Timing

You've got until 2 November, but we'd recommend getting this done sooner rather than later so there's no last-minute rush. We'll be checking in with schools who haven't yet made the switch as we get closer to the deadline.
